The Word speaks. As you read, it reads you. This mirror shows you, You.
He that needs a mirror, needs the Word.
She that can't "survive" without a mirror in her purse, needs The Mirror of the Word even much more. That's the surest description of beauty and worth. She may be convinced that she is not beautiful and needs to make up for something already wonderfully made...because she keeps looking at the wrong mirror... especially through her ears.
If we don't feed on the truth about who we are, we'll be fed convincing facts about who we're not.
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
